Ingredients:
2 pounds 90/10 ground sirloin
1 cup diced red onions
2 teaspoons grated fresh garlic
1 teaspoon crushed fresh ginger
1/2 cup finely diced carrots
1 cup finely diced red bell peppers
1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
8 hamburger buns of your choice
Instructions:
1. In a large nonstick skillet sprayed with vegetable spray, add the onion, garlic and ginger.
Saut´e for 5 minutes or until the onion is browned.
2. Add the carrot and bell pepper and saut´e for 3 more minutes. Add the ground sirloin and saut´e
until meat has reached 160°F on a meat thermometer. Add the tomatoes; cover and simmer for
10 minutes.
3. Add the hoisin sauce, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt and pepper; cook for att least 5 minutes.
4. Heat until hot and serve on hamburger buns.
